Lead - Business Systems Analyst
Job Description

The prime responsibility of the candidate will be to solve organizational information problems and requirements by gathering and analyzing business requirements; designing process maps; recommending system controls and driving the implementation.


• Project delivery Business Analysis experience using defined project methodology and project life cycles. (waterfall, agile, iterative, combinations)
• Mentors juniors, conduct peer - peer reviews, facilitate conversion (1x1/ medium group)
• Works with business partners on-shore to understand work requirements, articulate workflows.
• Self-starter and can work independently -- get work done without oversight.
• Strong collaboration and negotiation skills.
• Can plan and lead work efforts as needed.
• Great communication skills; both written and verbal.
• Understands and applies technology as it relates to the business.
• Track record of successful completion of business analysis activities and deliverables (as is process flows, to-be process flows, business and user requirements, data dictionary, business rules, use cases, user stories, acceptance criteria, SCRUM processes)
• Working knowledge and experience with the financial industry
• Contribute to the definition of project scope boundaries.
• Contribute to project plan, detailing analysis tasks in the plan and providing estimates and updates to those tasks to the project manager on a regular basis.
• Lead and facilitate interviews and/or requirements sessions to define, document, and prioritize business and user requirements.
• Thoughtfully lead and drive business discussions to facilitate decision making.
• Actively participate in systems requirements and design walkthroughs to ensure understanding and traceability to business needs and requirements.
• Develop the user acceptance test plan and test conditions/scenarios.
• Develop the user acceptance test cases and scripts.
• Develop/Mine test data for user acceptance testing.
• Execute test plans and test cases on a scheduled and ad hoc basis.
• Contribute to implementation planning and post-implementation tracking.
• Provide effective communication on project status, risks, and defects with project owners and stakeholders. This will include the ability to concisely and accurately develop sustained relationships with internal business and technology partners as well as (potentially) external vendors. Successfully manage relationships throughout the lifecycle of the project.
• Identify business needs or opportunities for improvement through either broad industry knowledge, or detailed knowledge of specific products, services or processes.
• Perform occasional ad hoc tasks as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent and minimum 5-7 years relevant work experience.
• Strong analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills.
• Has past experience in leading projects for on-shore business partners.
• Mentors juniors, conduct peer - peer reviews, facilitate conversion (1x1/ medium group)
• Experience with project methodology and project life cycles.
• In depth knowledge of business operations and processes with the ability to articulate these processes to others.
• Experience with analysis planning, requirements elicitation, test planning, creating test cases and test data, executing test scripts, implementation planning, and implementation execution.
• Understand and apply technology as it relates to the business
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple work assignments while being able to shift priorities to meet the current business environment needs.
• Effective written communication skills to deliver articulate communications and concisely summarize information.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Strong knowledge of the following applications: MS Visio, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, HP Quality Center, JIRA, BlueWorks Live

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with project methodology and project life cycles; analysis planning; requirement elicitation; test planning, creation and execution; implementation planning and execution
- Tools: MS Office (Visio, Excel, PowerPoint), HP QC - ALM, JIRA
- Strong written and verbal communication
