Liquidity & Collateral Operations (LCO) manages the operational elements for daily funding and liquidity of the firm. Oversees the firm's payment strategy, overall cash flows and positions, also performs key functions related to counterparty risk management, client transparency, product and pricing reference data. Departments in LCO: Liquidity Management i.e. Funding & Cash Management, Treasury Operations and Collateral Management. Part of the Global Liquidity & Collateral Operations division, Treasury Operations serves as the firm?s central bank for processing and managing all incoming and outgoing cash movements while managing the bank accounts and compensation claims. It is responsible for monitoring transactions for compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and managing the firm?s overall cash position. Our Bangalore Treasury team manages functions such as settlements, reconciliations, bank account management, system access & control entitlements and interest claims. We are part of a global team responsible for managing cash transactions in 64 currencies across ~1700 bank accounts every day. To achieve this we work closely with all the businesses within the firm (including FX, Prime Brokerage, Asset Servicing, Credit Derivatives, Interest Rate Products, Listed Derivatives, Commodities, Collateral) and multiple external service providers. We work with industry partners to develop and set standards that help drive best practices across the industry.


Operations is a dynamic, multi-faceted division that partners with all areas of the firm to deliver banking, sales and trading and asset management capabilities to clients around the world. Alongside this vital service delivery role, Operations provide essential risk management and control, preserving and enhancing the firm?s assets and its reputation. Operations span all product lines and markets, serving as internal business partners who develop the processes and controls, and help to specify the systems that deliver accuracy, timeliness and integrity to our business.

? Liaise with clients/counterparts to validate and investigate the financial/hypothetical loss incurred on late settlements of trade or cash transactions.
? Liaise with Derivatives, Clearing and Security Operations teams across the globe to ensure accurate application of cash, validation of claims and bank account opening related information and reduce client and liquidity risk
? Maintain close relationships with market counterparts, agent banks & internal business partners, as well as daily interaction with Global Treasury Operations teams in Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore, London, New York and Salt Lake City.
? Assessing reconciliations and systems requirements for New Products as well as being involved in any initiatives undertaken to improve application of cash such as SWIFT messaging improvements
? Manage and resolve payment related investigations, such as amendments, recalls, tracers and cancellations.
? Minimize financial, reputational and regulatory risk to the firm and its clients
? Analyze and resolve exceptions, escalate risk items to management and the business
Work towards improving efficiency & control of existing processes

Basic Qualifications
? Graduate
? 4 -6 years? experience in the financial market
? Knowledge on SWIFT, Payments & Settlements methods
? Understanding of Claims practices in overdraft, TMPG and market fines.

? Energetic and capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
? Be responsible for and willing to continuously invest in learning/training to stay abreast of constantly changing policy requirements including keeping up-to-date with industry developments
? Strong communication skills essential for interacting at all levels across business disciplines, regions and clients externally
? Strong influencing skills essential. Capable of assertively interacting with business stakeholders and counterparts in order to resolve day to day issues, control risks and improve operational efficiency
? Strong problem solving skills/ability to hold clear and concise conversations with internal and external business partners
? Highly organized individual with attention to detail and excellent ability to execute on deliverables
? Individual who works effectively in a team setting and is creative about providing innovative solutions (new processes, technologies and approaches)
