Head of Sales Order Management

Role Profile

Leads, defines and oversees the delivery of global Sales Order Management & support. Ownership of running the day to day operations by leading a team by supporting customer retention, managing escalations, influencing change and & adeptly managing stakeholder expectations. Establishes and maintains a control framework to comply with 3rd party and regulatory obligations

Provides the framework for stakeholders and staff to effectively manage the order life cycle and improve customer service:
  • Collaborates with other key stakeholders and senior leaders to establish strategic plans and objectives for the function, providing critical inputs to strategic investment cases and other business priorities
  • Ensures compliance with internal and external rules and regulations, including establishing and maintaining a control framework to comply with 3rd party and regulatory obligations (SOX compliance)
  • Ensures that agreed volume, service and quality targets are met and continually strive for stretch targets as well as improve processes to ensure that best in class service is maintained
  • Carries financial and budget responsibilities specific to operations management; service and metrics
  • Makes final decisions on administrative or operational matters and ensures operations' effective achievement of objectives
  • Ensures that the service provided to the customers is seamless by encouraging full collaboration and the provision of any necessary tools/information
  • Develops a sustainable talent strategy that delivers a workforce that is well equipped to deliver the customer experience and role Models leadership for the team, builds a motivated, high performing organisation
  • Designs, plans and delivers Transformation / Change programs that are in line with organisational strategy and objectives
  • Brings strong commercial acumen to drive a profitable business.
Key Relationships & Committees:
  • Steering Group Representation / Working Group Lead for all mentioned transformation programmes.
  • All other Global Transformation Stakeholders involved with L2C
  • Corporate Technology Leadership & Divisional Tech Leadership
  • Divisional Product Owners & PLM Leads (including LMP)
  • Commercial Strategy and Operations
  • Sub Process Owners within the Lead to Cash GPO Construct
  • Global S&AM Leadership (Strategic Account, RMA and LCC).
  • 2LOD and 3 LOD from a Risk & Controls Perspective (Designing for control)
  • Key Location / Site Representation and Committee / Council participation
  • External forums on change / transformation.
  • Vendors (where applicable on transformation programs)

Eligibility Criteria:
  • Proven leadership skills and senior stakeholder management
  • A through understanding of the end to end Order Management Process
  • Proven change management and transformation experience at scale
