Role:

The QA Engineer is part of the Cachematrix testing team working in close collaboration with QA Manager, developers, architects, project managers and business analysts. Candidate is responsible for complete end to end testing life cycle. The candidate needs to provide supervision to junior team members in the team. Candidate need to have strong communication skills where he is able to work with different stakeholders independently. They need to possess critical skills of being detail oriented, thinking as an end user, passion to learn new technologies and good at problem solving. They also need to be able to handle tasks independently.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Performs user story writing with developers, estimation of level of effort and delivery of software modules.
  • Participates in design and architecture discussions with the developers.
  • Conduct functional testing and external system integration testing independently.
  • Develop automated tests using Selenium with C#.
  • Provide technical guidance to junior team members of the team.
  • Collaborates with team members both inter and intra.
  • Identifies issues and collaborates with the required stakeholders to get it resolved.
  • Works with developers to understand the technical design to develop more effective test scenarios.
  • Perform security and performance test of the software modules.
  • Perform ETL testing on data integration components. 
  • Follows technical standard, testing best practices and SDLC.
  • Understands priority and performs risk based testing during tight project schedule. 
  • Figures out impacted areas of testing for any change request.
  • Uses critical thinking to come up with edge case test scenarios.

    Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited college or university  Must have 5 – 8 years of experience in Software testing.
  • Must have at least 5 years of automated test script development experience preferably using Selenium
  • Must have hands on experience on working with programming languages like C# or java.
  • Well versed in writing SQL scripts.
  • Ability to debug problems with developers by providing critical thinking of the system behavior. 
  • Experience on web applications is a must. Understand the fundamentals of a web application very well.
  • Good understanding of SDLC and must have past exposure to it especially Agile.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Testing experience on web applications developed using newer frameworks like Angular and React

    JS is plus.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skill.
  • Must be proactive and self-governing.
  • Must have time management skills
  • Familiar with any security testing tools. Has a good understanding of standard security vulnerabilities.
  • Familiar with load and performance testing of web applications.
  • Experience with Financial Services application is a plus.
