Associate – Software Engineer

An Associate is part of the Cachematrix development team working in close collaboration with architects, quality assurance, project managers and business analysts. Candidate is responsible for developing software modules for a project independently. The candidate also needs to provide technical supervision to junior team members in the team. The candidate maintains strong product and technical knowledge in specific areas of the system.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform user story writing and providing estimation of level of effort for a project.
  • Develop small to medium size software modules independently using technologies like SQL, C#, JavaScript, Python and web services.
  • Develop ETL software components using SSIS and Stored procedures in SQL Server.
  • Follows the technical standards, security best practices and SDLC.
  • Collaborates with software architects, project managers and the business team to understand the system requirements to develop the best possible technical solution for the project.
  • Provide Technical guidance to the junior team member.
  • Perform unit test, integration test and external system integration test (if applicable) of the software modules.

    Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited college or university
  • Must have 5 – 8 years of experience in Software development
  • Must be a full stack developer with ability to code in all layers.
  • Solid experience in Database development using SQL and ETL tools (TSQL, SSIS)  Experience in development using C#, Java, JavaScript, WCF, WEB API  Development experience of Python and R is a plus.
  • Understands full SDLC cycle.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skill
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skill.
  • Need to possess critical skills of being detail oriented, passion to learn new technologies and good analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Experience with Financial Services application is a plus.
