We are currently looking for a
Trading Fees Financial Controller
for our Budapest office

The Budapest Trading Fees Controlling group is seeking to fill a Controller position that requires a highly motivated individual with strong analytical and technical skills. The team is controlling brokerage related trading fees and main responsibilities include trading fee reconciliation, active and regular communication with counterparts, month end close tasks, variance and trend analysis, balance sheet reconciliation, invoice reconciliation and payment, and delivering on ad hoc requests from Finance management and Business Units. The role also includes active contribution to automation and optimization of current processes, and harmonization/standardization of processes across regions.


Reconciliation of internal and external trade details
Active and regular communication with counterparts (broker firms)
Month-end close activities (accruals, allocations, variance analysis)
Interact with internal controllers, operations and traders to resolve any trade related issues
Provide detailed analyses on monthly, quarterly and yearly expense variances, define main drivers and support Business Unit monthly reporting
Cooperate with Accounts Payable Team to ensure invoice payments are made in a timely manner
Respond to ad-hoc reporting requests to Business Units


Skills required:

Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or related fields
Minimum 3 years of experience preferably in finance or accounting field
Interest in banking and the financial markets
Knowledge and understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts is an advantage
Good level of written and spoken English
Demonstrated ability to: prioritize competing responsibilities, work under pressure, meet challenging deadlines and capability to handle repeating, well defined tasks (i.e. reporting)
Strong analytical and technical skills, proficient in use of MS Office especially Excel, VBA is a plus
