Project Analyst / Strategy & Reengineering Analyst
Job Background:

The role is expected to manage various types of projects covering different product pillars, and may involve business/internal negotiations, stakeholder management, reengineering/process improvement opportunity identification, systems enhancements, and strategy execution. The role will help develop strong business cases for initiatives, and may manage either selected phases of projects, or in an end-to-end capacity (i.e. from requirements gathering, design, and testing/parallel, up to implementation and closure). The role is expected to work and develop relationships with multiple stakeholders and functional groups at the same time.
Job Purpose:
The Project Analyst's primary role is to provide project governance and process improvement oversight to various HR/HRSS-driven product and process initiatives leading to increased productivity/efficiency and/or quality and effectiveness of the organization. This role provides some functional project management expertise and a working knowledge of reengineering methodologies. The person is likewise expected to work collaboratively with various levels of business sponsors, operational leads, process/system stakeholders, and subject matter experts.
The successful candidate will report to the Strategy & Reengineering Lead and will be involved in the delivery of programs/projects in relation to focus areas in reengineering such as (but not limited to): migrations, transformation, business process automation, and process improvement.
Key Overall Responsibilities:
  • Perform project management and/or analysis for the agreed Book of Work for the region, including but not limited to Migrations, Vendor-related Transitions, and Reengineering/Continuous Improvement Initiatives (Lean, Robotics Process Automation, Smart Automation, etc). This may be done either independently or in collaboration with other senior Strategy & Reengineering Analysts/Project Managers.
  • Lead projects and initiatives (either selected phases or end-to-end) in alignment with the defined project and program management framework and methodology, and assure successful project completion through utilization of appropriate project management techniques as aligned with PMO standards and requirements.
  • Lead various Reengineering/Continuous Improvement programs, ensuring that all project objectives and goals are harmonized towards a unified approach and consistent governance.
  • Coordinate with key stakeholders and subject matter experts for the progress of agreed upon actions and supporting milestones/deliverables.
  • Monitor, escalate, and remediate any risks and issues associated with the projects, and ensure that preventive actions are installed in order to decrease the probability of future recurrence.
  • Report the status of projects to senior sponsors and stakeholders, with focus on key success measures
Reengineering/Continuous Improvement Expectations:
  • Able to demonstrate and implement the key concepts of business process reengineering in a service-oriented setting particularly presenting various opportunities to eliminate waste and streamline processes.
  • Provide value added services to stakeholders and product/process owners through an understanding of operational steps in order to recommend and design the right solutions, as applicable
  • Manage the execution of business process automation activities to lessen cycle time and decrease if not eliminate manual, repetitive work.
  • Measure and analyze the overall contribution and benefit of a particular reengineering work which has direct impact to customer experience and business operations.
  • Motivational fit - Willingness to work in a shared services team that is both regional and global in nature
  • Preferably minimum of 2-3 years project management/coordination and business process improvement work experience with proven track record in achieving overall goals within specified project parameters
  • Prior knowledge of HR or Shared Services operations and systems (on-boarding, off-boarding, employee lifecycle, payroll and data management) will be ideal
  • Prior Reengineering/Continuous Improvement experience and understanding on how business process improvement is done in a service-oriented operations environment
  • Qualification and/or certification in project management & process improvement methodology (Ex. PMP, Lean or Six Sigma) is a strong advantage
  • MS Office Suite skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, Outlook)
  • Innovative and can manage changes effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, facilitation, and presentation skills
  • Has strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Client-focused for exemplary customer service
  • Strong team player, willing to learn and share experiences with other team members
  • ASAP starters are preferred
