We are looking for a
Financial Accounting Manager
for our Budapest Office

The Financial Control Group (FCG) supports senior management, both for Morgan Stanley as a whole, but also the individual financial products around the world. FCG assist in managing Morgan Stanley's risk by implementing financial controls over the firm's business activities. FCG is responsible for Morgan Stanley's financial records, ensuring that the assets and liabilities of Morgan Stanley are properly controlled, and providing accurate and timely financial information both to senior management and externally to statutory and regulatory bodies.

Responsibilities:

Ensure that the team is managing time effectively and that regular management monitoring is carried out
Deal with and prioritize ad hoc requests and supervise daily operation of accounting team
Manage the relationship with the business and Finance Business Partners
Challenge existing ways of working and develop a continuous improvement culture
Management and development of team of direct reports
Oversee the active cost pool review and controlling of supported divisions' costs during month-end close
Support the month end process with delivering value added insights on a regular monthly and on ad hoc basis
Overveiw the preparation of Balance sheet and expense account reconciliations for internal audit purposes
Support development of division protocols and policies
Cooperate and support external and SOX audit review
Involvement in system implementations and Firmwide projects

Qualifications:


Skills Required:

Completed Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance or Business related discipline and availability to work full time (8 hours a day)
At least 6 years of experience related to accounting or financial reporting
Solid knowledge of finance or accounting concepts (ACCA/ CIMA is a plus)
Strong numeracy and analytical skills
Accuracy, attention to detail, good organization skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
People management experience
