Exchange and Clearing Fees Controlling Manager
for our Budapest office

The Trading Fees Controlling Group in Budapest Finance is seeking to fill a Manager position which requires a highly motivated individual with strong analytical, technical and communication skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the North America Listed Derivatives Exchange & Clearing team. The team is controlling exchange and clearing related fees and main responsibilities include trading fee reconciliation, regular communication with exchanges and clearing houses as well as Morgan Stanley trading desks, Operations and IT teams; month end close tasks, variance and trend analysis, balance sheet reconciliation, invoice reconciliation and payment, and delivering on ad hoc requests from Finance management and Business Units. The role also includes active contribution to automation and renovation projects, optimization of current processes, and harmonization/standardization of processes across regions.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the North America Listed Derivatives Exchange & Clearing team
  • Maintain a strong control environment to ensure data quality and accuracy
  • Work collaboratively with global Trading Fee Controlling group, global stakeholders, traders, Operations, IT and other departments
  • Being an escalation contact for unresolved/complex issues in the team
  • Monitor team's performance
  • Provide regular feedback on performance to direct reports and prepare career paths accordingly
  • Perform/overview the month end close processes; including manual accounting entries, accruals and cost allocations
  • Provide/overview timely detailed variance explanations on expenses, volumes, and rates to the trading desks, business unit management and business unit controllers, as well as, provide various ad hoc reporting to management and controllers
  • Coordinate, initiate change agenda that aims to standardize and globalize processes
  • Drive projects in line with department goals
  • Support the business units in rate negotiations, advise on potential savings opportunities and efficiencies


Qualifications:


Skills required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or related fields
  • At least 5 years of experience in Finance and Accounting
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in people management
  • Interest in banking and financial markets
  • Understanding of financial products
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Strong communication skills - written and oral, ability to communicate effectively across all levels
  • Demonstrated ability to: prioritize competing responsibilities, work under pressure, meet challenging deadlines and capability to build and maintain effective business relationships
  • Strong analytical and technical skills, proficient in use of MS Office especially Excel
  • Customer and service-oriented mindset
  • Self-confident, a person who takes initiatives
  • Persuasive to gather information and able to set and achieve goals
