Description

Job Purpose:

Provide compliance support to Markets staff based in Hungary, Czechia, Bulgaria and Romania.

Job Background:

Position sits in the EMEA Citi Markets Compliance team. The Markets Compliance team is responsible for providing compliance advice to Markets staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide policy advice on a wide range of policies applicable to Markets staff
• Escalation point for Markets staff to raise compliance issues
• Log and review escalations, complaints
• Deal with voice and communications surveillance alerts
• Conduct ad hoc compliance investigations as required
• Provide business specific training to Markets staff
• Represent Markets Compliance at various governance forums
• Carry out BUBOR governance processes
• Ensure consistency of Markets compliance approach between London and relevant countries
• Review and update policy as required
• Other ad hoc

Development Value:

• Specialist knowledge of how wholesale markets businesses operate and the relevant products, particularly bonds, FX and interest rate swaps
• Key conduct and compliance risks relating to wholesale markets businesses
• Exposure to senior Markets management
• Requirement to engage and build relationships with other support functions e.g. legal, HR, middle office

Qualifications

Knowledge and Experience:

• Understanding of wholesale markets sales and trading
• Understanding of various wholesale markets fines and settlements e.g. Libor, FX misconduct, anti-competition etc.
• Ability to engage with staff at all levels from junior to senior
• Ability to produce quality written work
• Understanding of rulebooks / regulatory framework 

Skills:

• Advanced level of English and Hungarian
• Standard IT skills 

Qualifications:


• Bachelor degree
