We are currently looking for a
Client Billing and Reporting Specialist
for our Budapest office

The Budapest Trading Fees Controlling group is seeking to fill a Client Billing and Reporting Specialist position that requires a highly motivated individual with strong analytical, technical and communication skills. Main responsibilities include client billing and reporting, active and regular communication with clients, trading desks and Morgan Stanley Finance Controller groups; profitability and trend analysis, outstanding reconciliation, and delivering on ad hoc requests from Finance management and Business Units. The role also includes active contribution to automation and renovation projects, optimization of current processes, and harmonization/standardization of processes across regions.


  • Billing and reporting trading related expenses and commissions to clients
  • Month-end close activities (revenue accruals, payment allocations, variance analysis)
  • Reconciliation and handling of client outstanding
  • Interact with internal controllers, operations and trading desk or clients to resolve any client billing / reporting / collection related issues
  • Cooperate with Accounts Payable Team and Account Receivables Team to ensure outstanding of clients are settled in a timely manner.
  • Provide detailed analyses on monthly, quarterly and yearly revenue variances, define main drivers and support Trading Desk or Clients monthly reporting
  • Respond to ad-hoc reporting requests to Trading Desk and Clients


Skills required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting/Controlling or related fields
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience preferably in finance or accounting field
  • Interest in banking and the financial markets
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Demonstrated ability to: prioritize competing responsibilities, work under pressure, meet challenging deadlines and capability to build and maintain effective business relationships
  • Strong analytical and technical skills, proficient in use of MS Office especially Excel
  • Pro-active attitude
  • Good team player
