A leading global brokerage is looking to strengthen their electronic trading platform in Asia and, in this regard, is seeking an experienced sales and/or broking professional to lead local client development and account management.

The role:

The successful candidate will work in tandem with the voice broking team to increase electronic brokerage revenue

The focus will be on Foreign Exchange, particularly derivatives including Non-Deliverable Forwards (NDFs) and Deliverable Forwards (DFs).

Build strong business relationships internally and externally, in order to increase Average Daily Volume  and overall revenue via an industry leading trading platform

KYC - understand specific client requirements and pitch features and benefits of the platform to identify and create competitive advantage

Build and maintain relationships with clients’ front and middle offices

Identify new opportunities to develop the continued growth of electronic volume, revenue and number of counterparties using the platform

Cross-sell across other asset classes and geographical markets

Maintain a 360 degree relationship with existing clients with a full overview of client set up and preferences to aid electronic engagement and increase electronic revenue

Manage the on boarding process from a legal and risk perspective, provide basic onsite training to traders and monitor platform usage

Act as the first line of response for all client trade and execution queries

Attend industry specific conferences and networking events

Gather market and competitor intelligence to map key market drivers for each currency pair

Work closely with Product Strategy to implement new revenue-generating initiatives

Use Business Intelligence tools to monitor client ADV and address accordingly

Compile weekly report of key highlights for senior management, summarising client feedback, market intelligence, competitor information and action points


At least 7 years’ relevant experience. This will be gained from an electronic trading or vendor platform either as a broker/trader or sales/business development professional.

Client-facing experience and ability to build both internal and external relationships

Strong communication and senior stakeholder management skills 

Product-specific and market-specific knowledge including awareness of relevant regulatory requirements.

Good knowledge of the NDF market is highly desirable.

Fluent English, oral and written.
