Web Developer/Architect - Global Hedge Fund

Our client is a renowned global hedgefund looking to re-engineer its current proprietary platforms and grow their technology team here in Hong Kong. Usingthe latest technologies and as their business continues to grow, they are looking for top developers to join their team.

This role will require the candidate to have a strong understanding of web technologies and strong experience designin web-based solutions. A solid understanding of business drives and experience working in a similar environment is ideal.


  • Design web-based solutions for the current key platforms
  • To work on full life cycle of tools/ system development
  • To work closely with multiple stakeholders to develop new tools to automate their processes and improve workflow.
  • To develop new pre/post trade analysis tools
  • Improve and support the existing systems
  • Introduce new technologies when needed

  • 3-5 Years of working experience in a similar web development role
  • Strong hands on web development experience, preferably in a financial industry is ideal
  • Exceptional knowledge of JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks (ReactJS, Angular or similar)
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, or Ruby
  • Experience with Python or Clojure is ideal
  • Experience integrating cloud applications
  • Experience integrating 3rd party application is ideal
  • Front end experience (preferably C#, HTML5 or JavaScript based frameworks)
  • Happy to work on all levels of the technology stack, including frontends, middleware, servers and databases in a small team
  • Experience with Linux management and AWS ideal
  • Happy to learn new languages and technology
  • Strong problem solving skills and ability to investigate issues.
  • Strong communication skills and loves working as a team
