Vice President, Credit Control Unit
Business Function

Risk Management Group (RMG) is responsible for the development and maintenance of risk management and internal control frameworks. We provide independent review and challenge to business to ensure that appropriate balance is considered in risk/return decisions. In addition, RMG is responsible for the monitoring and reporting on key risk issues of the Bank. To manage risk effectively and deliver strong financial performance, we invest significantly in our people and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Leadership, Change Management, Execution of Change, and Peer Collaboration.
  • Coach, influence, develop and manage team members
  • Serve as a role model by setting a good example for following through on commitments and going above and beyond what needs to be done.
  • Participate in strategic planning discussions for the unit and provide recommendations regarding future direction
  • Drive change management towards digitisation and promote corporate cultural shifts to align with Corporate objectives
  • Participate in the implementation of new and revised systems, policies and guidelines which have significant impact on the team and oversee implementation of practices to ensure compliance with DBS internal, group, as well as local regulatory and/or business policies.
  • Promote collaboration and team building among peers and team. This manager will be expected to build strong relationships with business and support partners in line with the Group goals and objectives
  • As a Team Member Manager, you are expected to achieve success by leading yourself, your team, and the business. Specifically you will:
  • Lead your team with integrity and create an environment where your team members feel included, valued, and supported to do work that energizes them.
  • Accomplish management responsibilities which include sourcing and hiring talented team members, providing ongoing coaching and feedback, recognizing and developing team members, identifying and managing risks, and completing daily management tasks.

Requirements

  • University graduate in Business Administration, Banking or other related disciplines
  • At least 10 years' experience in credit administration, credit management and/or other relevant commercial banking segment.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Digital mindset and Strong analytical skills including the ability to analyze financial metrics
  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • Knowledge of Title and Mortgage Loan Documents.
  • Ability to coordinate completion of multiple tasks and meet aggressive time frames
  • Ability to develop and manage business relationships
  • Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to provide leadership by coaching, training, and mentoring
  • Strong collaboration and partnering skills
  • Ability to achieve high production and quality standards
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
  • Ability to identify and evaluate trends, isolate root cause, and provide swift/thorough resolution
  • Experience in project management will be an additional advantage.
