Responsibilities



  • Plan, lead and perform risk-based audits in Hong Kong and overseas locations, with primary focus of coverage in Treasury & Markets, Asset & Liability management and secondary focus in Securities Business, Capital Markets and Finance.
  • Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls design and identify gaps from the review of business processes in accordance with the annual audit plan, audit methodology and IIA standards.
  • Analyse and validate red flags and exceptions generated from Trading Analytics tool or scripts as part of Continuous Auditing.
  • Perform continuous monitoring of the relevant business and support units to keep abreast of the development of the units and identify any areas of concerns.
  • Drive/execute audit automation and implementation of project initiatives.
  • Pro-actively contribute and develop automated routine to focus the audit testing and development of audit process improvements.
  • Develop effective communication and relationship with key stakeholders by understanding the businesses, providing value-added controls assessment and fostering on-going interaction with the business.
  • Provide concise audit findings, present reports on a timely basis, and deliver the audits to completion within established timelines.




Requirements



  • Degree qualification with minimum 7 years of relevant auditing, consultancy, compliance or risk management experience within the financial industry.
  • Professional qualification such as CIA, CPA, CFA or FRM would be a plus.
  • Exposure to Treasury and Market (T&M) trading and sales environment is required for this role.
  • Exposure to IT application control reviews, data analytics, special reviews or consultancy projects would be a plus.
  • Good working knowledge of financial instruments, risk management and possess a good control mindset.
  • Ability to work effectively with multiple priorities and to determine the most appropriate solution based on organizational and stakeholder needs.
  • Self-motivated, takes initiatives and demonstrate the ability to work independently as well as lead and collaborate with other members within the team.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, as well as verbal and written communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Innovative and creative mindset and the ability to challenge status quo.
