We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as User Support Specialist.

Principal responsibilities

  • As one of the key members of the Client Support team under the Information Technology Operation, providing technical support of the core desktop architecture including the development, delivery and services and support of desktop infrastructure and products to Global Banking and Markets premier customers
  • Work with Information Technology teams to deliver quality desktop solutions, collaboration and client software enhancements.
  • Influence key resources and will have frequent interaction with Information Technology infrastructure groups to coordinate and influence technology solution provided directly to the business.
  • Work with Information Technology teams to ensure effective service delivery to business users in HSBC.
  • Deliver quality services and effective methodologies in technical solutions in coordination with Information Technology teams to meet business requirements and strategy.
  • Dedicated support to customers of business critical departments as well as onsite event support.
  • Engage with Information Technology teams on troubleshooting of complex incidents or problems.
  • Assist team leader on day to day operation monitoring to ensure quality service
  • Engage with teams to ensure strategic consistency and development in desktop architecture and solutions
  • Enhance procedures and user guides for operational support and risk management for efficiency improvement
  • Coordinate various scale projects on software deployment upgrade, site renovation,
  • Maintain HSBC internal control standards, implement and observe Group Compliance Policy and maintain awareness of operational risk


Qualifications
Requirements
  • Solid experience in providing desktop infrastructure and service support, in banking environment ideally with exposures on technologies support and implementation front to back
  • Extensive knowledge in desktop architecture and solutions and operating procedure, as well as advanced hardware concepts and networking
  • Strong technical skills with good understanding of Active Directory, Email and mobile technologies, Video and Audio Conferencing and Windows operating systems
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, presentation and negotiation skills as customer facing to internal business critical users
  • Committed team player with proactive and innovative ideas
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively under extreme pressure and stress
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex desktop issues
  • Enterprise wide support processes and tools
