Job Description: The TFX business is one of five G10 FX trading businesses reporting to Denis Manelski (but has a dual reporting line to EM Trading heads - Brian Weinstein/Mark Davies).

TFX are responsible for managing all FX flows (150+ currencies) born from payments (including receivables, payables and cards) managed by Bank of AML. Our end clients range from Retail/Consumer Banking customers to our Corporate, Commercial and Institutional client base.

As a trading function, TFX has ultimate responsibility for the Risk, P&L and Governance associated with the FX flows they manage. As a product function, TFX are responsible for the technology and development of new FX product related to these flows, as well as ensuring the risk and product layers are integrated to the channels the bank uses to attract the payment flows we manage. This implies close collaboration and cross-over of activity between GTS and Consumer banking partners.

  • Support TFX trading & risk management activities:
Price client trades that do not meet auto-pricing criteria
Monitoring trading books & risk positions via Cassius
Manage TFX risk by executing trades with internal trading desks and external brokers/counterparties
Monitoring PNL and reviewing and adjusting trading spreads when appropriate
Assist with hedging strategies in support of TFX trading products
  • Expected to be TFX subject matter expert supporting client queries and the GFX/GTS sales efforts in the region
  • Focus on growing revenues generated from APAC EM currencies from our clients globally
  • Supporting key Sales and Trading initiatives like the roll out of our Guaranteed FX rate products
Monitor risk exposure for guaranteed rate products
Work closely with GTS & GFX colleagues to identify opportunities, educate salespeople, meet with customers and eventually oversee smooth implementation

  • Candidate must have the versatility and capacity to manage multiple workstreams/projects in collaboration with colleagues across the Bank.
  • Candidate will be expected to take ownership & ensure delivery of selected workstreams/projects on behalf of the TFX team. This also involves the ability to make informed decisions on behalf of the business and escalate when appropriate.
  • Candidate will be expected to encourage debate with the team and challenge current processes/practices whilst offering solutions to rectify.
  • Candidate should be hungry to learn about developments in the FX payments industry and work with the wider team to drive our future strategy and priorities
  • Awareness of Regulatory landscape and key Market Initiatives advantageous
  • Flexibility to travel and connect with partners / colleagues based in EMEA and AMRS on an ongoing basis.
