We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Technical Specialist.

Principal responsibilities

  • The Network Specialist will work within the Network team and will be a subject matter expert on an infrastructure, a critical component of the Network topology or services provided.
  • Responsible for the provision, 2nd or 3rd line design and support of services on a Global network technology infrastructure. This can include both the development of new functions and facilities and the on going systems support of live systems.
  • Working as a Lead technical specialist on projects involved in planning, research, evaluation, design and testing and deployment of network infrastructure

  • Excellent understanding of Network hardware and Software and general IT Support principles
  • Experience on enterprise level network setup and troubleshooting
  • Overall understanding of Internet and Network Security Services and the supporting infrastructure to be able to prioritize work load
  • Have sufficient knowledge of IT policy, processes, procedures and systems deployed
  • In depth knowledge of best practice within a support environment
  • Practical experience in one or more of the following disciplines such as LAN and WAN technologies, Network Routing and Switching, Voice over Firewall Solutions, Network Security architectures including Firewalls, Load Balancer, VPN Remote Working, EKM Certificate enrolment, traffic analysis, capacity planning, modelling, network troubleshooting and problem resolution
  • Have excellent knowledge of the project lifecycle
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills, including the capacity to articulate the case for IT investments and alternatives in the language of the business
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Find logical solutions to problems
  • Work out of hours support is needed according to business need
  • Proven ability to prioritize against competing demands
  • Ability to lead in crisis response and recovery
  • Have a thorough understanding of strategic planning, including managing change, managing processes and business cases
  • Be a Group subject matter expert on a major aspect of Network Infrastructure
  • Ability to leverage relationships within IT to drive through and deliver against sector goals and strategies
