We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Technical Architect and Design Authority.

Principal responsibilities
  • ​Set the global technical strategies in the domain and specific solutions in standardization and ever-greening.
  • Lead global technical product designs internally, within all Product Portfolio's and, in technology partnerships with external vendors and suppliers.
  • Review and approve all technical product roadmaps and technical solution designs.
  • Commercial accountability, track record of balancing risks versus rewards and maximizing the cost effectiveness.
  • Lead a virtual TDA's office which serves as a technology forum and technical community of interest to promote technical skill educations globally.
  • Represent the Bank in appropriate industry forums, user group and technical conferences for the corresponding domain.
  • Represent the domain to provide consultancy and expertise in cross domain and technology architecture and solution design.

Requirements ​
  • Typically educated to undergraduate degree level
  • Solid technical experience and subject matter expert knowledge in the technologies owned by the corresponding domain.
  • Expert understanding of the technical product and platform usages within the Enterprise Services and Architecture sub-functions and future roadmaps
  • Expert understanding of industry and vendor technology directions for the subfunction to enable HSBC determination of which technologies to adopt and at what point in the lifecycle
  • Strong leadership and management skills together with the ability to motivate staff from a variety of backgrounds
  • Ability to work in a multi country, culturally diverse and timezone separated management role
  • Excellent communications skills and ability to motivate and communicate at all levels of the organization
  • Team player in a global management team
  • Analytical with the ability to understand and resolve complex problems
