TRAINEE: Client Management & Sales Assistant

The Client Management / Sales Assistant supports the institutional client business of Equities and Derivatives Team in Global Markets Departments with a focus on Cash Equities brokerage and X-Asset Execution:

  • Support Sales activity and Client on boarding, including the KYC process for Equities
  • Support Client Management by developing tools and processes to track client segmentation, client interactions, broker rankings / votes, and internal / external account reviews
  • Support the Client Marketing & Sales roadmap and other marketing initiatives / events
  • Develop MIS (Dashboard, Monitoring, Reports) to support the management of the Cash Equities & Execution business in monitoring the performance of the business, the client segments and the product mix
  • Maintenance and Coordination of Marketing documentation liaising with Marketing, Corporate Communications and Compliance
  • Support Cross-Selling initiatives with other groups within Global Markets and the Bank
  • Work closely with Client Management Units, Sales Teams and Product teams in HK and Europe / US
  • Support the use of Client Relationship Management tools (in particular iC Anywhere)


Mission

Main Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for Client on-boarding & KYC for Cash Equities & Execution Sales teams
  • Responsible for developing / maintaining Client database in order to enhance Client Relationship Management
  • Management of marketing roadmap and Client events
  • Development of MIS reports for management use


Profile

  • Hold a relevant Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering or similar
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office tools (including basic Excel VBA & Database tools) as well as ability to use CRM technology efficiently (coding skills a plus)
  • Excellent relationship, communication & organizational skills
  • Independent and motivated to succeed in fast-paced brokerage & institutional trading environment
  • Understanding of Institutional Investors, in particular Asset Managers and Hedge Funds
  • Some knowledge of global equities & derivatives markets
  • Fluent English is mandatory, Fluent Cantonese and Mandarin is preferred


This is a fixed term 12 month Trainee contract with Societe Generale. You will form part of the team on a full time basis. In order to apply for the Trainee position please ensure you have completed your qualification and will be available to work full time for the duration of the Trainee contract.
