Structured Products Junior Lawyer (6 Months Contract)


SG CIB is the Corporate and Investment Banking arm of the Société Générale Group. Present in over 50 countries across Europe, the Americas and Asia, SG CIB provides corporate, financial institutions, investors and public sector clients with value-added integrated financial solutions.

This is a position within the Legal listed structured products team. The successful candidate will join the legal department and will work closely with business lines and information technology teams in reviewing and preparing documentation, and developing and testing the automation of certain templates for listed structured products issuances, in particular HK listed warrants / CBBCs.


Job Description

  • Providing legal advice and support to SG's listed structured products / warrants team
  • Reviewing draft documentation in relation to listed structured products issuances
  • Developing, testing and maintaining automation of templates for listed structured products issuances
  • Assisting with related processes and reporting.
  • Reporting and escalating any legal-related issues to line managers as appropriate and coordinating with other members of the legal team


Required Competencies / Qualifications
  • Hold a Bachelors degree, preferable in law, finance or information technology
  • Good communication skills
  • Good command of spoken and written English and written Chinese
  • Experience with building macros in Excel
  • Previous experience with warrant issuance or equity derivatives is an advantage
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills, attention to detail
This is a fixed term 6-month contract with Societe Generale. You will form part of the legal team on a full-time basis. In order to apply for the position please ensure you have completed your qualification and will be available to work full time for the duration of the contract.
