Team: Settlement

Position: Senior Officer / Assistant Manager

Responsibilities:

1. Handle daily treasury settlement accurately and promptly, including confirmation, matching, payment and accounting for FX, money market, fixed income and derivative transactions.
2. Prepare SWIFT instructions, process settlements through Euroclear, Clearstream.
3. Perform daily reconciliations of transactions, funding and account balances; support funding and liquidity management.
4. Resolve pre-settlement and settlement exceptions and follow up post-settlement investigations.
5. Process fixed income and derivative lifecycle events, including coupons, resets, exercises and maturities.
6. Liaise with counterparties, brokers, custodians and internal stakeholders to meet settlement deadlines and resolve discrepancies.
7. Support private fund operations.
8. Prepare Hong Kong Trade Repository (HKTR) reports for OTC derivatives and other required reports.
9. Maintain SOPs, participate in system implementation UAT and process improvement projects.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Business, Banking or a related discipline.
2. At least 6 years of relevant treasury settlement experience, preferably in an investment bank. Candidates with more extensive experience may be considered for the Assistant Manager position.
3. Hands-on experience with payment and settlement systems, including SWIFT, Euroclear and Clearstream.
4. Sound knowledge of FX, money market, fixed income and derivatives.
5. Knowledge of HKTR reporting, basic accounting or private fund operations will be an advantage.
6. Independent, detail-oriented and able to work under tight settlement cut-offs and month-end deadlines.
7. Strong interpersonal, communication, problem-solving skills and convey a sense of team spirit.
8. Good command of written and spoken in English and Chinese
9. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
