Global Asset Management, the investment management business of the HSBC Group, serves HSBC's worldwide customer base of retail and private clients, intermediaries, corporates and institutions invested in both segregated accounts and pooled funds. Global Asset Management fulfills its purpose of connecting HSBC's clients with investment opportunities around the world through an international network of offices in approximately 30 countries, delivering global capabilities with local market insight.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Senior manager, Wholesale Business .

Principal responsibilities

  • This is an outwardly focused role, positioning HSBC Global Asset Management as a leading Asset management Company by developing retail friendly presentations & written collaterals focused on HSBC Global Asset Management's Investment Outlook. These presentations will be delivered to a wide spectrum of distributors, retail customers and media in Hong Kong and China
  • Actively engage with media to provide commentary aligned with HSBC Global Asset Management's house view, positioning the incumbent as an expert on macroeconomics and investment issues
  • Identify market opportunities to best position HSBC as a leading fund house against competitors, working with Portfolio Managers, Product Specialists and Client Propositions.
  • Work collaboratively with the Wholesale Team in delivering a proactive, professional and service oriented distribution platform covering sales ideas, query response and business support.

  • Initiative and being a self-starter with a pragmatic, can-do approach
  • Confident public speaker in Cantonese, Mandarin and English and able to write competently in English and Chinese
  • Confidence and enjoyment gained from interacting with distributors and retail customers
  • Teamwork and leadership
  • Ability to foster good relationships with team and across different clients.
  • Strong knowledge of macroeconomics, investment markets and retail distribution
  • Ability to simplify investment concepts, outlook into easily communicated presentations, materials which enhance the audience's knowledge and support sales activity.
  • Apply business acumen in planning and execution, seeking guidance as required.
  • Support HSBC Global Asset Management cross-departmental collaboration to deliver a market competitive offer.
