Our client is looking for a Senior Unix/Linux Engineer to be responsible for its front office Electronic Trading projects serving the bank's Equity and High Frequency Trading desk, to maximise its already highly profitable business.

Who is the client?

Our client is a Global Top Tier investment bank founded close to 200 years ago. They are an Equity Derivatives (EQD) powerhouse and has one of the best electronic trading solutions in the world. In a highly volatile market, this team produces an extremely profitable business.

What is does this team do, and what is the role?

This team is directly responsible for the bank's front office electronic trading projects (this is not your usual Unix BAU SysAdmin role). Essentially you will work on Unix infrastructure projects related to Equity and High-Frequency Trading (HFT) business and to maximise profits for the bank.

Is this a permanent role? How is the compensation?

Yes, this is a permanent role, based in Hong Kong. The basic annual compensation will range between 700k to 1.2million+, as well as discretionary bonus (consistently around 3 months) and a full medical/insurance package for you and your spouse.

What is the requirement?

 -At least 5 years of experience as a Unix/Linux Engineer

-RHEL certification is highly preferred, not mandatory

-Excellent (English) communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to handle stress within front office environment

-At least 3 years of experience working in MNC with a strong background in supporting critical systems.

-Previous working experience within an investment bank is preferred.
