Being a specialist in the Basel capital framework particularly in Credit Risk areas, work closely with stakeholders in Business and Risk providing regulatory analysis and insight on changes impacting this global banks wholesale credit portfolios
The role will drive regulatory analytics, policy development and interpretation, Basel compliance monitoring and portfolio management.
Assist on the various upstream regulatory developments to communicate policy guidance to stakeholders.
Provide questions and feedback to global and regional GRA and Treasury Risk Management teams relating to policy, standards and documentation
Ensure consistent and accurate regulatory submissions
Responsible for internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points
Educated to university degree level or equivalent and, and it would be desirable to hold a relevant professional qualification (FRM, CFA)
Experience in general or wholesale banking including Commercial Banking, Global Banking & Markets or Wholesale Credit
Good knowledge of the regulatory landscape particularly relating to the Basel capital framework, Internal Rating-Based approaches, or previous experience in a Regulatory Capital policy function
Experience of dealing with regulators will be highly regarded
Some understanding of statistics and concepts of the risk modelling process would be advantageous
Relevant working experience in a bank, rating agency, consultancy or advisory firm would be considered
Ability to lead, manage and successfully deliver within the agreed time scale, in liaison with all relevant stakeholders: model owners, business, finance, senior management and regulator
