This role focuses on Project Halley, the Group-wide project for the implementation of IFRS 17 and IFRS 9. Support the IFRS 17 Implementation & Analytics team in the design, development and implementation of the selected IFRS 17 solution across different business units of the Group.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Take a leading role in CSM workstream related activities
  • Responsible to support local business units across the Group to drive the implementation
  • Provide actuarial expertise and support during project implementation
  • Clearly define and document workstream scope and ensure traceability of this through all stages of delivery
  • Support different stakeholders with all workstream information needs, manage inter workstream conflicts and dependencies
  • Provide process tracking and all necessary reporting to stakeholders and Program Management Office
  • Conduct technical training, workshops and discussion forums to local business units to support Group wide IFRS 17 implementation
  • The candidate will contribute substantially to the implementation design
  • Develop testing plans, control processes and conduct testing of IFRS 17 system
  • Co-develop with selected vendor on the functional design of CSM Sub-Ledger

Job Requirements:
  • Degree holder in Actuarial Science, Mathematics or Statistics
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in the life insurance industry with strong business sense and Actuarial knowledge
  • FSA qualification or equivalent
  • Knowledge and experience in IFRS 17 is a strong plus
  • Consulting and project management experience is a plus
  • Ability to operate effectively and independently in complex program environment
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with various stakeholders
  • Embrace ownership in various tasks and able to provide thoughtful recommendations
  • Good problem solving and strong analytical skills, able to clearly present results systematically and logically
  • Strong managerial experience and leadership ability in coaching junior team members
