- My client, a reputable commercial bank is seeking an experienced and highly capable Senior Manager, HR Operations & Service Delivery to oversee the delivery of end-to-end HR operational services for the organization. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient, accurate, and compliant HR operations across the employee lifecycle, while driving process improvements and enhancing service quality. This position is primarily an individual contributor role, providing hands-on leadership and subject matter expertise across all HR operations functions. Depending on the selected candidate's experience and capabilities, there may be an opportunity to lead and develop a small team.
Your new role
- Manage and oversee the full spectrum of HR operations activities, including: Employee onboarding and offboarding, HR records management and data administration, Payroll coordination and related processes, Employee benefits administration, Personnel file management and document control, Employment-related regulatory and compliance requirements, Employee licensing and registration management, Staff movement, contract administration, and employee life cycle events
- Ensure all HR operational processes are delivered accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with internal policies, employment regulations, and banking industry requirements.
- Act as a key HR operations subject matter expert and trusted partner to HR Business Partners, business stakeholders, employees, and external vendors.
- Review, streamline, and enhance HR operational processes, controls, and service delivery standards to improve efficiency and employee experience.
- Manage HR data integrity, reporting, and audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Support regulatory reviews, internal audits, and compliance exercises related to HR operations and employee licensing requirements.
- Participate in HR projects, system implementations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide coaching, guidance, and team leadership where applicable, with the potential to manage a sub-team based on experience and organizational needs.
What you'll need to succeed
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 10+ years of progressive HR Operations experience, preferably gained within the banking, financial services, or highly regulated industries.
- Strong hands-on experience covering: Onboarding and offboarding, Payroll administration, HR administration and employee record management, Employee licensing and regulatory requirements, HR compliance and operational controls
- Sound knowledge of Hong Kong employment ordinances and HR operational best practices.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and drive operational excellence.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and process improvement skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Outstanding communication skills in both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin preferred).
- Experience with HR systems and HR process transformation initiatives will be an advantage.
