The primary purpose of trade surveillance is to review trading activity to detect potential cases of market manipulation and/or misconduct, insider trading and other types of misuse of material non-public information, in conjunction with electronic communication surveillance.
To do this, the team analyse and investigate alerts generated by an automated trade surveillance solution covering market abuse and insider dealing behaviours for allocated jurisdictions. You will need to have at least 5 years of relevant surveillance, monitoring, review, audit, trader or trader assistant work experience within an Equities, Futures, Fixed Income, FX and Commodity product environment. We would also welcome your application if you are looking to transition into a risk function from market operations, audit or front office roles.
We use technologies such as, SMARTS, Actimize, Digital Reasoning, Bloomberg, and PowerBI. Previous experience in one or more of these systems will be an advantage.
While the role is analytical, there is also a large portion of stakeholder management, negotiation and relationship building.
