We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Retail Banking and Wealth Management IT Lead Architect .

Principal responsibilities

  • Drive all strategic business facing architecture activities across the region for RBWM ASP, defining the local market technology strategies, influencing business investment in technology, and ongoing development of the regional enterprise architecture.
  • Serve as the Architectural Design Authority for the delivery of the RBWM ASP portfolio, ensuring the alignment with the innovation agenda, and the drive in the optimisation of the RTB cost base
  • Work closely with the respective senior business executives and product owners in RBWM to provide IT solutions which meet business requirements while aligning to IT strategies and standards.
  • Establish strategic technology roadmap that meet short term business development plan and pave way to support medium and long term vision.
  • Facilitate sharing and alignment of knowledge and best practice in IT areas.
  • Accountable for driving excellence in the delivery of technical solutions considering reusability, and non functional requirements such as performance and security
  • Present and communicate complex architectural issues clearly and concisely with technical and non technical audiences from senior stakeholders to agile teams
  • Assemble a broad set of technologies and services to create a complete solution to a technical requirement, application software, Middleware, database, hardware, storage, network, and integration and leverage of appropriate cloud technologies
  • Understand solution tradeoffs such as cost, scope, timescale, and balance between long term strategic and short term pragmatic considerations
  • Work with domain and technology experts to develop solution from high level architecture to detailed design level, and is recognized as a subject matter expert
  • Work in a complex multinational organization, interlocking with architects in related domains to drive thought leadership and alignment of technical estate
  • Design APIs to operate in a micro services architectures
  • Assist in the development of new products, product releases and product components for the ASP market through the use of appropriate and tailored architecture methods.
  • Understand and manage stakeholder expectations. Support team leads to provide clear choices and recommendations that enable both business and technical decision making.
  • Maintain an expert level of technical knowledge in the required technical areas, and continually research and incorporate new technologies into their domain.
  • Ensure solutions are for purpose and fit for strategy as well as meeting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and present architectural design and proposals to the appropriate review forums
  • Identify and document key architecture decisions and ensure these are shared and agreed with other members of the architecture community and engineering teams.
  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise in respect of the technical aspects of the RBWM Customer, Operations and Regulatory Systems
  • Work in Agile and DevOps environments.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to explain complex technical solutions to audiences at different technical knowledge
  • Ability to articulate business case for IT investments to business
  • Build trusted relationships with senior and key stakeholders rapidly
  • Sound knowledge of Fintech and innovative technologies, design patterns and keep abreast of latest technology trends, with experience in, designing complex distributed, service oriented, micro services style and cloud based systems, with focus on scalability, maintainability and extensibility
  • designing integrations between different systems, working with different teams and driving an agreement on the technologies and methods to use
  • Knowledge in agile and 7
  • IT experience in global top tier financial industry with roles IT architecture with experience in, development and support of mission critical business applications, strategic planning on IT application or technology roadmap and working with 3 rd party, vendor management and partnership engagement
  • Ability to work with domain and technology experts globally to develop solution from high level architecture to detailed design level.
  • Subject Matter Expertise in respect of the technical aspects of the Retail Banking Customer, Operations and Regulatory Systems
  • Experience of Customer Due Diligence KYC processes and requirements
  • Experience of Regulatory projects processes and requirements
  • Experience of implementing data integration and reconciliation architectures, including MDM and usage of machine learning toolsets for advanced functions
  • Experience in Degree level education in Computer Science, Information Technology or relevant discipline.
