Relationship Manager, Employee Banking

We are currently looking for Relationship Managers in Corporate Partnerships.

Key Objectives:

  • Responsible for Financial Institutions (FI) and Non-Bank Financial Institutions (NBFI) Employee Banking (EB) including but not limited to Payroll, Credit Card, Personal Loan Referral, MPF Referral, Merchant Solutions
  • Origination and management of Financial Institutions and Non-Bank Financial Institutions portfolio
  • Develop and deliver the FI & NBFI proposition to Banks, Broker Dealers, Investors and Insurance companies, including EB programme and other partnerships with the clients

Key Responsibilities:


  • Partner Segment and Product to deliver the FI & NBFI proposition
  • Finalise business plan for FI & NBFI clients


  • In collaboration with Segment and Product, deliver the FI & NBFI proposition for employees in these markets
  • Develop the end to end operating model for delivery of the FI & NBFI proposition to the clients
  • Anticipate client's needs, customise and deliver the solution to clients
  • Deliver the NTB target for FI & NBFI clients
  • Ensure ongoing performance review to enhance proposition to clients, expand the proposition and products for FI & NBFI clients
  • Once established a relationship, ensure deepening
  • Increase penetration of existing EB FI & NBFI clients and originate new names
  • Ability to work with Group EB teams and also Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB) / Commercial Banking (CB) Account Managers (GAMs / RAMs / FAMs) where applicable and operate externally across the organisational fabric of senior client organisations
  • Ability to collaborate with Transaction Banking to insert to deliver EB component in cash Request For Proposals (RFPs)
  • Ability to independently pitch and present FI & NBFI proposition and linked Client Value Propositions to senior management within CIB and CB clients
  • Demonstrate ability to perform under pressure against challenging targets, strong sales skills including negotiation
  • Ability to work with senior regional and group client acquisition and EB teams to land and implement FI & NBFI proposition
  • Ability to cross sell all other banking products such as MPF, Wealth Products & transaction-related FX and increase wallet share from clients
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
  • Working alongside Assistant Relationship Managers (ARMs) on employee sign-ups and cross-sales activities. Guide, coach, motivate and develop ARMs to meet and exceed performance expectations

Risk Management

  • Ensure a full understanding of the risk and control environment in area of responsibility
  • Ensure compliance with all Anti Money Laundering prevention procedures, report any suspicious activity to line manager and Financial Crime Compliance
  • Ensure KYC/CDD compliance for all new-to-bank and existing customer. Exercise risk assessment for new customers by following all necessary procedures of KYC
