Relationship Manager, Cross Border Business
Responsibilities
  • Champion the cross border business activities in the retail banking segment
  • Explore and develop long-term banking relationships with customers, especially the high affluent Chinese
  • Flexibly and independently arrange client meetings in both Hong Kong and the Mainland of China
  • Build and consolidate relationships with the Relationship Managers of the Bank of China (the mother company of BOCHK) to strengthen the client referral mechanism
  • Deepen relationships with existing and prospective high affluent clients through identifying their needs of financial services, including both products & services
  • Appropriately map and provide relevant and suitable financial products & services to meet existing and prospective customers' needs, including but not limited to the provision of investment, insurance and other banking products
  • Influence and facilitate working-partners to refer and cross-offer potential business opportunities for sustainable business growth
  • Work closely with Branch Managers, District Managers, Investment Counselors, Wealth Coaches and other key stakeholders in building healthy sales pipelines to ensure key performance indicators are being met
  • Ensure compliance requirements are strictly observed and followed, contribute as part of the Bank's bigger anti-money laundry (AML) team
  • Educate and train juniors, if needed
  • Coordinate in-branch and off-site marketing and promotion activities, if needed
Requirements
  • University degree or equivalent, with qualifications in IIQE, HKSI & MPF, CFP CM preferred
  • Familiar with the client needs of the high affluent Chinese
  • Willing to travel to the Mainland of China
  • Experiences and proven track record in managing and growing an assigned customer portfolio will be a definite advantage
  • Sound knowledge and at least 2 years' solid experiences in retail banking products & services, including but not limited to full-fledged investment and insurance products, knowledge and experiences in corporate banking products & services a definite advantage
  • Ability to influence various key stakeholders in referring and cross-offering potential business opportunities for sustainable business growth
  • Highly agile in learning, adapting to ever-changing business environment, and with strong ability to cope with fast, dynamic pace
  • Highly sensitive to customers' needs, able to provide quality services in exploring and consolidating long term banking relationships among personal and corporate customers
  • Proactive, mature, independent, customer-focused, and pleasant
  • Proficient in both spoken and written Chinese, fluent Putonghua as a definite must
