My client a leading global banking group is looking to recruit an experienced Regulatory or Compliance Advisory professional to join its Asia Pacific wide Regulatory Compliance team in Hong Kong.

The Regulatory Compliance Manager will be responsible for providing Regulatory Compliance advice and challenge to the Fixed Income and Foreign Exchange trading businesses and will assist the Regulatory Compliance Heads in the development, deployment and oversight of a globally consistent policy for Fixed Income and Foreign Exchange trading business units, ensuring that businesses understand and adhere to external regulatory requirements, codes of conduct and internal policies. The incumbent will work with the trading businesses to make sure that any new products or services are aligned to a global standards framework and meet all the necessary Regulatory Compliance requirements. The jobholder will provide guidance on policies and standards to cover regulatory compliance issues, advising line management of the impact on their business on external and internal regulations, providing an independent mechanism for executives and fostering good relations with regulators.

The successful candidate will be a degree holder with at least 8 years’ experience gained in a sizeable international bank with a solid knowledge and understanding of Fixed Income and Foreign Exchange products, trading practices and related regulatory and conduct risks. Applicants will need to demonstrate a strong knowledge of Hong Kong and international regulations related to Fixed Income and Foreign Exchange markets. Candidates will need to have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong analytical and problem solving skills and be team players. Candidates with previous team management experience are preferred.
