Project Manager - Granular Data Reporting, VP
The position will have the Project Management responsibility over Regulatory Reporting primarily on Granular Data Reporting ("GDR") requirements for Citi Hong Kong. The chosen candidate will lead the cross business/functions GDR working group, partnering with relevant GDR stakeholders and will work closely with Citi Hong Kong senior leadership including CFO, COO, Operations & Technology Head and business heads in driving the GDR program for Citi Hong Kong. The Project Manager role includes coordination and management of GDR related report developments including data sampling/gathering/controls, automation, regular deliveries to the Hong Kong regulator.

  • Project Manager with responsibility to drive GDR reports automation, formulate and define project scope, objectives and necessary reporting tools enhancements for complex regulatory reporting projects. Work in partnership with relevant Technology, Functions and business stakeholders
  • Demonstrate best practice PMO methodology to create a project plan includes establish project timeline, set-up of meetings, meeting minute documentation and stakeholder management across different working groups within the bank
  • Perform the tactical reporting process prior to automation.The process includes request data from various sources, consolidate data in an excel tool (using SQL and VBA), present the results for stakeholder signoff and arrange for submission.
  • Review bank products catalogue, reporting template and data constraint tracker to assess bank products data availability, consolidate, reconciliate and perform data mapping between reported data fields and data fields within source systems
  • Work with key stakeholders in development of data and business requirements for GDR IT system. Provide insights related to regulatory reporting templates and GDR reporting requirements, data quality and availability assessment, data mapping and control risk framework for automation of data collection for GDR IT system
  • Identifies and where required amends the approach to the context and constraints of reporting automation project
  • Articulates problems, leverage appropriate resources to address issues
  • Communicates to project counterparts on project milestones, status updates, as well as proactively follows escalation and change control processes
  • Support other GDR automation required deliveries
  • Ability to operate with a minimum level of direct supervision
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency

  • 6-10 years of project management experience, preferably from financial services environment across areas of Regulatory and Compliance, Finance, People & Process, Business Enablement etc
  • PMP certification highly preferred, Six Sigma a plus
  • Experience in agile methodology, writing business and functional requirements document and driving user stories grooming sessions
  • Demonstrate capability to develop project plans, manage project deadlines and goals
  • Knowledge of project metrics, including gathering, reporting, trend analysis, creation, and metrics
  • Manage project scope by assessing requirements changes, determining and conveying impact on budget, time and risk
  • Strong domain knowledge on banking products and regulations
  • Knowledge of Citi systems and operational processed preferred
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the principles of project management
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint) with extensive experience using Excel for data analysis
  • Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication in English
  • Fluency in Cantonese and/or Mandarin will be a plus
  • Self-initiative and details orientated

  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
