We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Programme Management Office Manager, Planner.

Principal responsibilities
  • Owns the creation and maintenance of planning standards including Dependency Management, Milestone Categorization, Critical Path, Change Control, Milestone Management.
  • Assures the quality of planning outputs through the development and coordination or training and coaching.
  • Collaborates across the wider CMO community to ensure cohesion between Programme Accounting, status, reporting and governance forums and processes.
  • Develops and implements strategies to maintain minimum standards for plan data within clarity.
  • Ensures all standards and guidance complies with the Business Transformation Framework.
  • Works with colleagues across HSS, HSBC and CM and D to foster continuous improvement of planning approach, raising awareness of planning for Agile methodologies.

  • Previous experience if planning in large or complex portfolios would be highly desirable.
  • Experience of implementing best practice including analysis of capability and delivery of appropriate coaching and support.
  • Solid understanding of Waterfall and Agile delivery would be desirable.
  • Knowledge and practical application of the following planning tools e.g. MSP, Open Workbench, JIRA would be desirable.
  • A high quality degree level education, and a first class general academic track record is desirable.
  • Significant, demonstrable experience of managing and or leading in a similar role would be highly desirable.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development in the field of PMO Management, for example 3PO would be advantageous.
  • Proven experience of implementing project control standards, including change control, financial management, risk management and reporting.
  • Change management and project management professional certification, for example Prince 2 or APM would be desirable and advantageous.
  • Process improvement methodologies, for example LEAN, Six Sigma, Work Out.
  • Successfully led, developed, coached, managed and effectively deployed a team of staff in the context of portfolio, programme and or project management.
  • Proven experience of working within a formal change methodology or framework.
  • Financial Services or Banking ideally within Fund Servicing would be desirable.
