We’re currently seeking an experienced professional to join HSBC as Business Manager. For this regional (ASP) role, you will have a range of functional and cross-functional responsibilities covering strategic planning, stakeholder engagement and governance, cost management, quality control, communications, and oversight of metrics and operational risk management oversight.

 We’re currently seeking an experienced professional to join HSBC as Business Manager. For this regional (ASP) role, you will have a range of functional and cross-functional responsibilities covering strategic planning, stakeholder engagement and governance, cost management, quality control, communications, and oversight of metrics and operational risk management oversight.

Key deliverables:

  • Assist with budget planning to forecast and establish resource/financial outlook to meet business objectives
  • Ensure accuracy of headcount data/HR records
  • Monitor actual expenses vs. budget.  Explain and investigate major variances
  • Identify and implement cost savings
  • Understand internal controls and associated operational risks, and be able to effectively communicate
  • Drive governance and communications with stakeholders, to ensure activities are aligned with business objectives
  • Respond to internal/external queries/issues related to the region
  • Assist with oversight of MI functions
  • Manage communications with employees
  • Own and drive the on-going management activity that supports the day to day running of the function (e.g. management meetings, quarterly reviews, expense updates, Town Hall planning etc.)

  • Implementation of agreed strategy
  •  Expenses within budget
  •  Stakeholder feedback
  •  GPS results

 

As a successful candidate you will have:

  • A degree holder with strong functional experience in the banking space
  • Exposure in Project Management
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Highly analytical, meticulous and well-organized professional
  • Proactive with the ability to work independently in a challenging and a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft office, including Excel and Powerpoint
  • Good language, communication and presentation skills
