An international asset management firm is looking for a high caliber professional to join as Operations Manager/ AVP. The position is based in Hong Kong.

Our client is an international asset management company with an unparalleled reputation across the Asia Pacific region.  With the continued growth of the organization, the need has arisen to recruit a high caliber professional to join them in Hong Kong.

As part of the vendor and change management team to initiate, coordinate and implement changes to streamline operational process to improve efficiency. Participate in global projects on Target Operating Model and Service Provider migration. Monitor service provider performance through KPI/MIS report, service review meeting, independent process review, due diligence, etc. Conduct ad hoc analysis on their performance for management information purpose. Understand feature, scope and regulatory requirements of new security market or instrument; identify system requirements; agree overall operating model and implementation plan and timing; set up processes, procedures and document workflow for Operations. Coordinate fund/mandate launch with internal counterparts. Review and provide comments on proposed product feature and timing for new unit trust fund launch/institutional mandate; appoint service providers (Trustee/Custodian) if needed; agree operating model and flow internally with other departments and externally with Trustee/Custodian. Share best practice within Operations on a regional & global basis.  Support management reporting.

To be qualified, you should be a Degree holder with a minimun of 5 years in fund management. Experience on coordinating initiatives, such as fund/portfolio launch, among all internal or 3rd party service providers. Good understanding of unit trust administration, fund accounting and settlement function. Good understanding of key regulatory requirements, market infrastructure and practices, value chain from front office to back-end support of fund management industry. Sound managerial and project management skills. Fluency in both spoken and written English and Chinese.
