The roles sit in the Underwriting team with responsibilities including underwriting of new business, existing policies, handling enquiries from distribution channels and internal customers, conducting training, visiting agency branches and involving new business. The incumbents will manage daily operations and ensure underwriting standards as per Audit Guidelines while meeting pricing assumptions of mortality and morbidity. The jobholders will polish and enhance underwriting rules and guidelines, keep track of competitors practices, deliver recommendations and business cases to enable upgrade of existing guidelines, streamline and enhance workflows and processes and participate in product developments and lead implementation from underwriting. The New Business & Underwriting team is also responsible for MIS analytics and leading projects including product implementation and Customer Experience Transformation projects when required.
Successful candidates will be degree holders with relevant work experience, preferably from life industry or medical field. LOMA and FLMI qualifications are preferred. Applicants will need to have excellent interpersonal and communication skills including spoken and written English and Chinese.
