We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Manager, Conference, Roadshow and Events Management.

Principal responsibilities

  • Work as a key team member to organise, manage and administer, on direction from and in liaison with the business, roadshows, presentations, seminars, conferences and hospitality events for clients, as well as HSBC employees.
  • Provide advice and support to the business on most efficient and cost effective ways to conduct meetings and presentations
  • Coordinate on the development and execution of activities for Global Banking and Markets
  • Ensure all events as led are run in professional manner, ensuring such events are seen as high quality
  • Build relationships with other business partners locally, regionally and globally
  • To be involved in raising the event management standard across the globe

Requirements ​
  • Demonstrable experience of managing and developing conference, roadshow and event, preferably in the global banking industry preferred
  • Ability to lead small to medium scale events and roadshows
  • Experience within a fast paced and pressurised working environment is preferable
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision, under pressure, extreme tight timeline as well as on multiple tasks simultaneously and to cover projects across different time zone and regions
  • Excellent communication skills are mandatory, as are good tact and diplomacy, as the role requires constant communication with internal and external clients
  • Excellent time management and prioritisation of work tasks
  • Self motivated, enthusiastic and proven rapid learning capability
  • Committed to the completion of work tasks within timeline given
  • Utilises own initiative to resolve issues
  • Must have flexible approach to work and working hours
  • Must be willing and physically able to locate equipment, for example laptop, badge machine, and other equipment as necessary
  • Willing to work onsite to support and execute projects as required
  • To be able to liaise with business to formulate appropriate and appealing event programs
  • Have demonstrable experience of managing budgets for individual events
  • Good project management skills
  • Good connection with suppliers on venue, transportation, premier gift and audio visual
  • High standard of spoken and written English and Chinese. Spoken Mandarin would be a plus
