Job Description & Summary
A career in Sales and Marketing, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to focus on positioning a distinctive PwC brand in the marketplace and drive long term revenue growth for the Firm. You'll focus on designing, developing, and implementing communication programmes and media events to promote and sell the PwC's brand and services as well as contribute to and evaluating our pricing strategies in the marketplace.

Our Marketing and Public Relations team is responsible for PwC's external media relations and social media strategy. As part of our team, you'll help with social media account management, media relationship management, and identifying new and emerging opportunities for the Firm.

PwC is looking for a Manager to join the Government Affairs Business Unit (GA BU) in Hong Kong.The incumbent will be responsible for assisting the leadership team to build relationship and drive local initiatives with the government bodies in Hong Kong and Macau, especially for initiatives related to the Greater Bay Area (GBA). He/she will need to understand the South China market and business priorities to develop integrated marketing plans aligned with the firmwide objectives to drive growth and success. The incumbent will assume primarily 2 roles:

GBA Program Manager - supporting the Regional Economic Cluster (REC) leader, the South China Markets Leader, and the GBA Taskforce Steering Group to develop markets strategy and implementation plan. Supporting the Office Lead Partners in S0uth China (ie, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Zhuhai, Hong Kong and Macau), the GBA City Government Relationship Partners (GRPs) and the Director of South China GA BU to manage stakeholder requests / requirements to meet the objectives of each project.

Business Development and Brand Building
  • Assisting the planning of major internal and external events (eg, webinar, conference, government/client visit)
  • Participating in external events for brand building and networking purposes
  • Preparing presentation deck, talking points, interview scripts and Q&As for partners' external speaking engagements and media interviews
  • Working with xLoS and M&C team to issue thought leaderships, WeChat posts, marketing brochures and other publications
  • Researching specific topics and summarising findings (e.g. GBA policies, funding schemes, incentives and subsidies, GBA cities econ stats)
  • Assisting xLoS to prepare major RFPs


Internal Communication and Firm Resource Consolidation
  • Preparing bilingual quarterly GBA newsletter - Greater Bay Area Updates
  • Organising internal training and sharing session - Clients and Markets Academy series
  • Compiling GBA credential deck
  • Compiling a summary of external appointments by PwC partners and directors in Greater China
  • Maintaining database and website related to GBA (ie, Kosmos Admin tool for the Janus GBA section and the PwC GBA website)


BU Operations and Admins
  • Analysing and reconciling GA revenue for monthly GA finance report preparation
  • Assisting in the preparation of annual budget and revenue target for the GA BU
  • Preparing GBA monthly wins and analysis and activities summary report for Management Board reporting
  • Preparing various stakeholder meetings for firm management progress reporting and strategy discussion (incl. compiling projects revenue, wins & pipelines, progress reports and PPT presentations)
  • Organising regular GA team meetings for BU status update and internal communication
  • Assisting in the development of firmwide/BU strategy, initiatives and implementation plan
  • Other ad-hoc projects and firm initiatives upon request by LoS or firm management


HK & Macau Government Industry Group (GIG) PMO - supporting GIG partners to drive growth in the Hong Kong and Macau government and public sector (G&PS) .

Business Development and Brand Building

  • Compiling Hong Kong and Macau G&PS credential deck
  • Developing and updating relationship map for officials of key HKSAR bureaus and authorities
  • Preparing application for government awards and subsidies


BU Operations and Admins
  • Organising semi-annual GIG meetings for status update and strategy setting
  • Organising Account Planning Workshops (APWs) for Hong Kong and Macau GIG priority accounts
  • Other ad-hoc projects and firm initiatives upon request by LoS or firm management


Requirements

  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Mandarin (Cantonese a plus)
  • University degree in marketing, foreign affairs, journalism or relevant field;
  • Minimum seven years' experience, preferably gained in a corporate or chamber environment;
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, and the experience of working and interacting effectively with senior personnel, both internally and externally;
  • Preferably good background knowledge about business and government environment, regional development trends and public policies in the Greater Bay Area (including Hong Kong);
  • Solid understanding of the local business and government environment in China, being able to draft systematic background materials/talking points with reasonable analysis;
  • Good time management and problem-solving skills under both normal and urgent occasions, with the ability to multi-task in a dynamic working environment;
  • A strong team player with good interpersonal skills, self-initiated and results-oriented;
