Legal Counsel (Litigation/Enterprise Legal)

Key Areas of Responsibilities

  • Handle and monitor litigation, arbitration and other disputes
  • Provide legal advice on a variety of matters in respect of the operation of the Firm (including employment matters (contentious and non-contentious), corporate communications, real estate)
  • Assist in responding to regulatory inquiries and investigations
  • Develop and regularly update Group policies and procedures
  • Participate in regulatory initiatives, market reform and policy work

 

Requirements

  • Lawyer from a reputable international law firm, or in-house counsel at a leading financial institution, with 4-6 years of post-qualification experience
  • Qualified in HK, UK, US or other major common law jurisdictions
  • Excellent drafting, communication and negotiation skills
  • Experience in handling litigation and employment matters
  • Knowledge of brokerage, investment banking, funds, equity or FICC business will be advantageous
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
  • Excellent command of English and Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese)
  • Team player, proactive, willing to learn and detail-oriented
