Within Retail Banking and Wealth Management, Broking Services provides full investment services in stocks, bonds, currencies, precious metals, commodities and derivatives to retail, corporate customers and financial intermediaries. As a leading full service broker dealer in Hong Kong, our investment services include advisory, execution, risk and portfolio management, custodianship, and margin financing.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Investment Strategist.

Principal responsibilities

  • Perform regular and ad hoc multi asset analysis and generate investment ideas, with a focus on the China or Hong Kong equities, to form the house investment advisory views.
  • Disseminate and communicate the firm's investment advisory views to the account executives, and ensure consistent and appropriate views and messages to be delivered by them to the clients.
  • Support the account executives to effectively communicate the firm's investment insights and ideas with clients in adherence to the internal controls and compliance standards.
  • Assist the Head of Investment Strategy to collaborate with other Retail Banking and Wealth Management entities to promote the bank's retail investment services through interaction with Retail Banking and Wealth Management relationship managers on the firm's investment insights.
  • Support the Head of Investment Strategy to formulate proactive multi asset investment strategies and ideas.

  • ​Bachelor degree holder in related discipline, with Chartered Financial Analyst chartered a plus.
  • Solid work experience in investment analysis, portfolio management or sales and trading experience in one or more asset classes: equities, foreign exchange, fixed income, and associated derivative markets
  • Experience in advising and managing customer portfolio throughout different economic cycles
  • Ability to deliver clear, meaningful and well-constructed investment ideas convincingly and concisely
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin
  • Self-motivated with proactive service attitude. Able to work under pressure
