Company Overview:
Our client, a leading private equity platform, is looking an Investment Analyst in Hong Kong to support portfolio value creation, market research and deal execution across North Asia
 
Responsibilities:

• Support portfolio value creation by working with portfolio company management teams on market expansion, revenue growth, operational improvement and strategic transformation initiatives.
• Track portfolio performance, KPIs and strategic milestones, preparing clear materials and updates for senior management and Boards.
• Conduct in-depth market, industry and competitor research across North Asia (particularly Japan), identifying thematic opportunities, structural growth drivers and insights to inform investment theses.
• Assist with end-to-end deal execution for M&A and strategic investments, including financial modelling, valuation analysis, preparation of investment memos and coordination of due diligence.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external advisors across investment, portfolio management, legal, finance and local partners to ensure effective project management and execution.

Requirements:

• 2–5 years of relevant experience in management consulting (including Big 4) or related deal-focused roles such as Deal Advisory, Transaction Services, Valuation, M&A or principal investing.
• Solid exposure to financial analysis and deal execution, with experience in portfolio value creation, post-investment initiatives or strategic project work viewed as a strong plus.
• Strong financial modelling and valuation skills, including DCF, trading and transaction comparables, and the ability to translate analysis into clear recommendations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare structured, executive-ready materials for senior stakeholders and investment committees.
• Experience covering Japan or broader North Asia markets is highly advantageous
• Highly detail-oriented, self-driven and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, lean team environment, managing multiple workstreams independently.
• Strong ownership mindset, intellectual curiosity and a genuine interest in business strategy, markets and value creation, with the ability to work effectively across cultures in North Asia.
