Responsibilities

1. Assist in the execution of internal audits, reviews and advisory projects, from planning to reporting, across various business units.
2. Discuss findings and observations with relevant stakeholders, provide advice/recommendations for process improvements, and monitor implementation of agreed actions.
3. Assess the effectiveness of internal controls, governance frameworks and operational processes to ensure compliance with group policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
4. Participate in external audit engagements, regulatory inspections and other external reviews.
5. Advise on corporate governance, incident management, vendor management, and enterprise risk management.
6. Support Business Risk Management activities, including incident identification, reporting, escalation, and root cause analysis to ensure timely resolution and remediation.
7. Maintain incident logs, track remediation actions, and prepare regular risk/incident reports for management review.
8. Collaborate closely with business units and support functions, including operations, compliance, risk management, and IT to understand end-to-end processes and identify emerging risks.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Corporate Governance, Risk Management, or a related discipline; a Master’s degree is an advantage.
2. 3 years of external audit experience in a Big 4 accounting firm is preferred. Candidates with less experience but strong potential will also be considered.
3. Experience in internal audit and/or risk management is an advantage.
4. Programming skills (e.g., Python, SQL, data analytics tools) are an advantage.
5. Experience working with big data platforms and use of generative AI (LLM) tools.
6. Working knowledge of financial information terminals such as Wind and Bloomberg.
7. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk assessment capabilities, with the ability to interpret complex information.
8. Team-oriented, proactive, and effective communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills.
9. Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese, including Putonghua and Cantonese.
