Human Resources

Morgan Stanley Human Resources provides advice and insight to attract, retain, reward and develop a talented global workforce, giving employees the support and tools they need to succeed. Our HR professionals partner with each of the firm's businesses to provide a full range of services including: human capital planning; creating strategies to attract, develop and reward employees; promoting a diverse workforce; fostering employee engagement; designing competitive pay and benefit plans; and proactively addressing employee matters.

Key Responsibilities: Actively working with business leaders, employees and global and country HR colleagues to support the day-to-day needs of the client groups including:

Workforce Planning

• Partner with the business to understand resource requirements and assist with headcount planning and required metrics

• Guide the business on mobility and flexible work arrangements

• Conduct exit interviews, analyze feedback and interpret/respond to feedback

Employee Relations

• Collaborate with the business, employee relations, legal, and compliance (as appropriate) to interpret and apply Morgan Stanley policies and procedures

• Advise and coach managers across a wide range of employee relations issues taking into account best practice, legislative framework and commercial outcome

• Influence and partner with managers to effectively and appropriately manage a range of performance issues

Talent Management

• Monitor and support managers through the annual Performance Evaluation process

• Work proactively with managers to identify and develop top talent and successors to critical roles

• Work with Learning & Development as required to ensure appropriate training is delivered to managers and employees

Reward and Compensation

• Stay abreast of market developments to ensure ability to proactively provide business with valuable market insight

• Advise managers on appropriate compensation levels for all employees

• Work collaboratively with managers, data team and HR counterparts throughout the annual Year End compensation processes and promotion exercises

• Own completion of monthly audits, in order to ensure accurate and reliable data, giving guidance as necessary.

Other

• Drive or support any other initiatives that progress the people agenda

• Participate in or lend expertise to ad hoc HR projects (e.g., process optimizations)



Qualifications:


Qualifications / Skills Requirements:

• University degree and 3-6 years of Human Resources generalist experience
• Self-starter, confident, and articulate; able to work independently whilst operating with a “one team” mentality
• Strong client focus with outstanding judgment and ability to effectively communicate across different audiences
• Analytical and influential with strong attention to detail and excellent prioritization skills
• Ability to develop effective and productive working relationships with clients and colleagues
• Thrives in a dynamic and challenging environment
