Our Client is a leading bank in Hong Kong and they are currently looking for an experienced Learning & Development(L&D) professional to spearhead its L&D function. This is an excellent opportunity for any incumbent who is looking forward to a role that is tasked to bring about significance chances in the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Learning & Development function in the Country to align with Group, Business and the Country Strategic agenda
  • Hire and maintain the appropriate team of talents to deliver the business and people agenda of the bank with the right level of resources level and capabilities
  • Build and maintain relationships with all key stakeholders, carrying out a thorough needs analysis before moving into design and development. Design, identify and, where necessary source development solutions, in line with global L&D initiatives. Develop learning & development solutions
  • Design and deliver management development, team development and soft skills training, either in-house or where required sourcing external partners within budget
  • Enhance and improve onboarding programme to ensure our new starters are onboarded effectively and reach productivity as quickly as possible
  • Work with head office L&D team to drive engagement and participation in all internal programmes
  • Support managers and employees with performance reviews and career development planning, providing ongoing training, guidance and one-to-one coaching
  • Ensure full compliance of Global / Country policies, governance standards and applicable regulatory controls
  • Ensure systems are being used appropriately to maintain records and certifications and are of a standard suitable for audit
  • Keep abreast of developments in the field of Learning and Development with a view to applying best practice to the Bank

Criteria:

  • University degree holder and above
  • Possesses at least 10 years of Learning and Development experience within a fast moving, complex and demanding banking environment
  • Good exposure in retail or corporate banking industry
  • Demonstrates extensive experience and track record relating to learning delivery and talent management
  • Candidate with L&D program development experience will be a plus
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Fluent in English and Cantonese. Mandarin will be a plus
