Job Purpose:
ASIA FP&A provide:
  • Analysis and review of financial performance, especially drivers, trends, and the competitive environment, to enhance understanding thereof on the part of management, the Board, regulators and shareholders
  • Insightful analysis as the foundation for strategic decision-making, resource allocation and performance management
  • Tools, analytical capability and data to support thoughtful planning and target setting, as well as to drive business initiatives
  • The means by which the businesses both implement and measure the impact of those decisions and targets, and identify and implement course corrections
Job Background/Context:

ASIA FP&A covers all aspects of the Citi Franchise including: Products, Geographies, Clients, Functions and O&T. It is part of the ASIA Finance team
This role is part of the broader ASIA FP&A team responsible for all FP&A activities that are common across businesses, functions and O&T
This is an exciting and challenging new role working with the ICG EDS Head in supporting performance management and monitoring framework as well as devising and monitoring of initiatives aimed at more efficient use of capital across Asia
The role is based in Hong Kong and will work in close partnership with other areas in FP&A, Treasury, Controllers, and Tax (across both across onshore and offshore teams)
Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading the delivery of ICG FP&A activities that are common across businesses for Executive Decision Support analytics
  • Participate in the LE Capital Management processes involving
  • Developing and implementing an effective support model for the role
  • Business Support / Performance Measurement- Pro-actively analysing, investigating, escalating and explaining key movements and trends to Senior Management and FP&A Business Partners
  • Assessment of Market and Competitive Environment including competitive benchmarking, macroeconomic/environment assessment, market share analysis/wallet sizing, and trend analysis to build executive decision support information including periodic updates to CEO/CFO etc.
  • Developing / Coordinating comprehensive management information for business, leveraging Insight and driving enhancements as required
  • Supporting FPA Business Partners and Senior Management - Co-ordination and preparation of presentation material and talking points for internal or external meetings including but not limited to Earnings, CEO and CFO reviews, Plan Reviews
  • Support the AxJ Strategy team in developing data packs for senior level consumption
  • Partner with the Capital Management team in analysing, investigating, escalating and explaining key movements and trends to the Finance partners
  • Forward Looking - Partner with other finance teams (including FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Controllers) though the Integrated Capital Planning Processes for Asia (including Outlook)
  • Coordinate deliverables to global and in region partners for Plan, MYF, and Outlook
  • Assis the EDS Head in relation to the strategic exercises for Asia franchise working closely with Business  and Finance partners including ad-hoc analysis and reporting helping improve business returns/performance
  • Engagement: Proactively engage and interface across Business, Finance and other relevant functional areas to leverage information and processes to meet requirements whilst avoiding unnecessary duplication
