Wellington currently manages $460 billion in fixed income assets on behalf of our clients worldwide. To ensure that we continue to exceed our clients' expectations, we are seeking to recruit an experienced China RMB Bond Portfolio Manager to help build out our Asian fixed income capabilities. This position will be based in Hong Kong.

The successful candidate will be responsible for investing actively in the domestic Chinese bond markets, including local government interest rates, quasi-sovereign, corporates, and local governments. In addition, we expect the candidate to play an important role in helping us to build out our Asian fixed income investment capabilities. The candidate is also expected to collaborate closely with colleagues in the Emerging Markets Debt and the Global Bond teams, among others, to help broaden the firm's investment dialogue in China and Asia.


  • +10 years of relevant Asian fixed income investing experience
  • Demonstrated analytical acumen, direct experience investing in the domestic Chinese bond markets, and a proven investment track record in the Asian fixed income market is preferred
  • Solid understanding and knowledge of Chinese economy and capital market development
  • Experience working with sovereign wealth funds, Government institutions, and sophisticated institutional clients to customize client portfolios
  • Familiarity with fundamental, quantitative and/or technical research frameworks
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills; and intellectually honest
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a global team
  • An excellent academic background, ideally including a post-graduate or professional qualification
  • Fluency in written and spoken Mandarin would be a plus
