A multinational Financial Institute is looking for Cloud Engineer/ Cloud Solution architect initially on a 12 month rolling contract.

Protiviti are looking for skilled candidates for the following role:

The Company

The client is an international corporation with an excellent reputation both here in Asia and also globally. The client is currently investing heavily on a cloud migration program. It becomes the flagship program for the group, with aggressive timeline, they plan to complete the entire migration within 3 years.

The Role

  • Project Initiation:

­ Lead project initiation and create project charter ensuring robust and measurable business cases exist for each project, with clearly identified and traceable commercial outcomes.

  • Project Planning & Budgeting:

­ Develop & maintain the detailed project plans, key milestones, project dependencies and critical paths, critical success factors

­ Set out the project budget and forecast for all projects and change initiatives ensuring the delivery of tasks in a structured and controlled way.

  • Project Execution & Management:

­ Drive the actionable items internally within the workstream and across different departments, such as Finance, Actuarial and IT to ensure the timely and quality projectdeliverables;

­ Engage and manage external service providers, focusing on strong delivery capability and cost efficiency opportunities for the project as well as the organization

­ Manage change requests to ensure any major deviation from project baselines outside of tolerances are reviewed and approved.

­ Maintain up to date project delivery and control documents.

  • Project Costing and Benefits Management:

­ Project resourcing: Track the resource availability; assist in hiring of permanent roles for the project, and/or the procurement process for external consultants and service providers with SOW agreed and approved.

­ Project cost controls: Monitor the actual resource use and costs against budget.

­ Benefit management: Contribute to the content of the business cases; ensure there is clear benefits ownership for the benefits articulated in the business case and benefits are tracked.

  • Project Governance:

­ Execute appropriate governance and controls to ensure the project is delivered successfully;

­ Control and monitor the project performance/project KPIs to ensure efficient and effective delivery, adhering to corporate and good practice project management standards.

  • Stakeholder Management and Communication:

­ Ensure good communication and build the close working relationships with the key stakeholders

­ Provide regular updates to senior management, Group/Country offices and Steering Committees

­ Highlight any key issues with resolutions, identify key risks and create mitigation plans, and escalate the issues if needed.

  • Support for other projects and change initiatives as needed:

­ Create ad hoc reports for management reporting

­ Assist the production of project deliverables, including presentations and documentation

­ Facilitate workshops and chair meetings, etc.

Your Profile

Must have

  • University degree holder in Finance & Accounting, Business Administration or other related degree.
  • Work experience, with strong project management background, ideally in insurance industry.
  • PMP, Prince2 or equivalent project management professional qualifications.
  • Proven track record of successful delivery of sizable finance transformation incl. process improvements, system implementation and back office shared servicing, and regulatory and compliance projects.
  • Well versed in waterfall /SDLC delivery.
  • Excellent planning, organizing and co-ordinating skills to ensure the achievement of project outcomes.
  • A team player with good interpersonal skills, able to work independently with minimal supervision and under pressure.
  • A good communicator with good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese.
