Finance is playing a central role in keeping the bank focused on simplification and financial resource management.

Our key functions range from Group Finance, Treasury, Planning and Performance Management, and Investor Relations to enabling functions such as Finance Change and Administration. These teams make sure we cover all Finance specific aspects for our internal and external stakeholders such as shareholder, employees, clients and regulators. Together, it is the role of Finance to oversee all financial details for Deutsche Bank globally.

Position Overview

You will be joining the Product Control team supporting Global Markets Equities (GME) which combines the Global Equity Derivatives, Global Prime Finance and Equity Trading businesses under one market leading franchise provider of equity and equity-linked products to institutional, corporate and retail clients world-wide.

Key responsibilities:

  • Understanding of business financials from front-to-back
  • Providing front-to-back interaction with business leads and other stakeholders
  • Supporting new product approvals and new transaction approvals
  • Contributing to strategy (Architecture & Operating Model) and project facilitation
  • Consistently reviewing the design of entities control environments and operational effectiveness
  • Acting as a point of contact and escalation for engagements with the wider finance community and leveraging the validation and control framework
  • Safeguarding a high standard of control completeness, effectiveness and disclosure

Key skills:
  • A very strong background and experience within Investment Banking
  • Excellent people management skills and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders
  • Strong Excel Skills
  • Excellent influencing skills with both stakeholders and cross-functional and geographically distributed teams
  • A confident individual with strong communication skills
  • Demonstrates a high degree of control awareness and intellectual curiosity
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to co-ordinate activities across a number of different control groups and virtual teams
  • A strong understanding of front to back data flows, expected controls and current developments in the regulatory and financial reporting landscape
  • Educated to Bachelor degree level (or equivalent qualification / work experience, preferably holding an Accounting qualification but not mandatory
