An international asset management company is looking for a high caliber professional to join as Fund Research, Asia - Associate Director or Director. The position is based in Hong Kong.

Our client is an international asset management company with an unparalleled reputation across the Asia Pacific region.  With the continued growth of the organization, the need has arisen to recruit a high caliber professional to join them in Hong Kong.

Conduct quantitative and qualitative due diligence on all Asia-based investment managers, internal & third party, offered throughout Manulife's global distribution network. Provide initial and ongoing due diligence for all third party and internal investment managers offered across all Asian platforms. Conduct annual onsite meetings with all assigned strategies and to represent the investment strategies and results to key internal and external business partners. Coordinate with global team members and be responsible for presenting macroeconomic overviews for assigned asset classes to the global team. Regional responsibilities to the local and regional fund platforms and other relevant open or managed architecture investment platforms. Provide quantitative and qualitative analysis necessary for onboarding new investment managers. Manage on-going oversight of Asia-based investment managers on all investment platforms. Recommend fund terminations or manager changes to local business units and investment platform owners. Coordinate and maintain a consistent yet locally applicable approach and process with the manager research analysts in the global team.

To be qualified, you should be a Degree holder with a minimum of 6 years of investment manage, fund research, assessment and analysis experience. Good relationships within the investment management industry. Highly developed leadership, communication, writing, interpersonal, analytical and presentation skills. Team player. Knowledge of wealth, retirement or investment-linked insurance scheme platforms preferred.
